I was interested in this place. After getting some take out, I would not choose to go again. Its okay food. I got the fried chicken and duck noodles. The chicken is actually really well fried; the batter is thick and the chicken is not too oily. The flavor is actually really good too. The only issue i have is that the flavor wasn't really infused into the chicken. I'm not sure if it was because it was take out, but it was like i was eating fried chicken with a dipping sauce of garlic butter. They also include a sweet and sour like sauce which is actually really good as well. The duck was decent, but there were only like 4 to 5 small pieces. The noodles were really hard; I think i just don't like that type of noodle. The soup came in the side. The soup had alot of flavor, and i really enjoyed that!
My only regret for coming to Hue Ky Mi Gia when I did was that I wish I was a little more hungry then I was. Having said that I was very impressed with Hue, which is a comfortable place to have a meal, with an attentive staff and quick service.
I got the garlic chicken wings, which were incredibly scrumptious and I can still taste the garlic on the back of my throat. Definitely, enough to split between two or even three people if you are small eaters they give you a very healthy portion of ten chicken wings. For my entree, I got the fried duck with the broth on the side. The duck was flavorful and crunchy. Noodles were a bit coagulated but still enjoyable, and the broth even by itself was tasty. Definite recommend.
If the review is for the price, speed and friendly service I will give it 5 stars.
However, it's a restaurant, so my 2 stars rating is base on the tastiness of the food. We ordered 3 items from the menu, BBQ noodle soup, BBQ pan fried noodle and pork rib noodle(picture). The noodle soup is the better of the three in terms of flavor. All in all, the flavor were nothing unique or special then other fast service Asian food place.
I'm not crazy about this place. The tables had stain rings. The roasted duck noodles I got was only okay. On the plus sides: the price is fair to cheap and the staffs were attentive and friendly. I'm not eager to come back, but would try again if someone else brings me along.
The wonton(with pork and shrimp) soup was very simple yet delicious. Garnished with the perfect amount of green onions and roasted garlic. I ordered a side of rice noodles and they served them in the same broth of my soup, I felt that was a nice touch since most places literally just give you the noodles. Pretty straight forward menu and service.
Tested out Uber eats. Bottom line: eat at the restaurant. When ordering to go skip the dry option. The difference is less broth, a little more sauce.
However when dining in go for the braised duck. It is scrumptious.
Literally my new favorite spot. This food is super authentic and the egg noodles reminds me of the food back in Singapore. The prices are crazy good and i come back at least 1-2 times per week. Get the dry style egg noodles, you will not be disappointed!
I had a great affinity for this restaurant and Uber them regularly. But the last two purches were so very below standards that I will not return. The chicken wings were dry and most of all they gave me spoiled fried rice X2 it was slimy and spoiled and smelled bad. I knew if I ate it I would end up sick and I didn’t want to do that just to prove I was right. I just could not eat it. I usually spend $60 or more but I won’t purchase anymore. It has lost it’s quality. No more.
